NILES - A boil alert has been lifted for a section of the Eastwood Mall in Niles as of Friday morning, following a water main break on Tuesday afternoon.

The boil alert was issued the entire mall except for the North Commons and Howland Commons plazas, as well as Route 422 between Mr. Hero and the bridge just past Burger King on Wednesday, February 4.

The boil alert lasted two days before being lifted Friday morning.

The mall remained open during the boil alert, with the alert only impacting the sale of fountain drinks.
