Niles Water Department locates main break, water expected to resume at Eastwood Mall soon

NILES - The Eastwood Mall in Niles and several other parts of the community are currently experiencing a water outage.

Areas of Niles impacted by the break include:

Fairhaven Heights
The area of Route 422 between Route 46 and the Niles City Cemetery

The Niles Water Department has located the site of the water main break and is working to fix the issue. However, there is no estimated time of restoration at this time.

The Eastwood Mall lost water just before 3:30 p.m.

A spokesperson for the mall says that the water is expected to be restored within an hour, and the mall will remain open during the repair process.

All mall tenants have been notified about the issue.
