Boardman police called after woman splashes lasagna on husband

Boardman police were called to a home in the Hopkins Heights neighborhood Thursday night to investigate a reported domestic dispute involving a tray of food.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a married couple who, according to the report, appeared to be very intoxicated. A man at the house told police that his wife had yelled at him and then threw lasagna in his face. Officers noted they could see pieces of lasagna on the man's shirt and in his hair.
The woman told a different story to the police. She claimed the man was being aggressive toward her. Later, she told an officer over the phone that she threw the food because the man was being rude and had tried to push her out of the house.
A partial transcript from the police report recounts the conversation between an officer and the wife:
I asked her how he had gotten lasagna all over him, to which she stated, "I threw it at him". When I asked why, she said, "Because he was being a butthole". When I explained to her that what she did was assault, she stated, "Well, he chest bumped me four times then punched me in the face". I asked if she wanted to pursue charges, and she said no, and that she never wanted the police involved anyway.
Police told the man and woman to stay away from each other for the rest of the night to avoid further trouble.
