YOUNGSTOWN - Downtown Youngstown is set to host a plethora of events this weekend, including multiple events held at Youngstown State University and Penguin City Brewing Company.  

Saturday: 

To start the day, Concept Studio is hosting A Valentine’s Day pop-up and mini session event by Wonderland Photography at 10 a.m.  

Beeghly Center is set to host a basketball double header. The women’s team faces Green Bay at 2 p.m. The men’s team will follow up and play Robert Morris at 4:30 p.m. 

There will also be a YSU tennis match vs. St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m.  

Ward Beecher Planetarium at YSU will be presenting two shows to the public: Legends: Orion that presents from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., as well as Passport to the Universe from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.  

DOPE Cider House and Winery is hosting “What’s on Your 2026 Bingo Card?” From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  

Penguin City Brewing Company is hosting Absolute Intense Wrestling presents “Out Cold”. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., bell time at 7:30 p.m.  

Sunday:  

The YSU women’s lacrosse team starts the day with a match vs Old Dominion at the Watson and Tressel Training Site at noon.  

Penguin City Brewing Company is hosting two events on Sunday. The first is a “Build Your Own Breakfast” that takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  

Penguin City is also hosting the Penguinito Bowl with Red Rican. Watch the big game and enjoy food from Red Rican and Suzie’s. There will be a block pool, a halftime dance party, as well as a team spirit contest with a cash prize.
