Metroplex Event Center hosts 'Northeast Ohio Reptile Show'

The Metroplex Expo Center, located at 1620 Motor Inn Drive in Girard, hosted its first Northeast Ohio Reptile Show of the year on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
According to a post made to the event's Facebook page, "NE Ohio Reptile Show", the center had seen over 700 guests throughout the day, three hours before the event ends at 3 p.m.
Featured at the Northeast Ohio Reptile Show were varieties of reptiles, alongside tarantulas, axolotls, some species of frogs and other amphibian life.
The event allows vendors to sell feeding items to reptile owners, including items that may not be available in traditional pet stores.
"People come out for different reasons. Some people come out just [because] it's a family-fun event, just to see and hold different animals they've never seen before. Some people come out only to get the feeders for their animals," said James Wynn, the Northeast Ohio Reptile Show promoter.
Additionally, the event allows some vendors to also set up education or booking booths for anyone looking to learn more about the reptile hobby, reptile care or book a reptile-based organization for an event.
"We have vendors that don't even sell anything. Their whole thing is reptile education," said Wynn.
The Northeast Ohio Reptile Show happens bi-monthly throughout 2026 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Upcoming shows are set for:
- April 12
- June 14
- August 9
- October 11
- December 13
All further events during 2026 will be held at the Metroplex Expo Center.
Adult admission is $6, while children 10-years-old or younger get in for free.
