WARREN - There is currently a large police presence in Warren after a man was allegedly shot in the head Monday afternoon.

According to a call log from Trumbull County dispatch, a call came in shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday for a person who was shot in the head on Paige Avenue.

Our 21 News crew at the scene says a car appears to have been shot at in the parking lot of a convenience store at the corner of Paige Avenue and Elm Road. The car in question is pictured below. The driver's side windows on the car are shattered.

The call log states that the male victim was shot in a car by a suspect wearing all black in a small red crossover-style vehicle. Additionally, a caller told dispatchers a white car with a black stripe on the hood sped off towards Atlantic Street with the red around the same time. 

The call log states that the victim was still breathing by the time police got to the scene. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital. A press release says the victim suffered a "traumatic injury."

This is a developing story, and 21 News has sent a crew to the scene and we're working to gather more information. We will provide updates once more information is available.
