COLUMBIANA CITY - The Columbiana Exempted Village School Board will be discussing makeup days at Tuesday evening's meeting following the use of several calamity days this winter.

Columbiana Superintendent Donald Mook tells 21 News that the district only has five calamity days in its contract, but it has used seven, prompting talks about making up those extra days.

Mook says the plan for now is to make up those two days as professional development days for teachers only, which will take place during the first and second days of spring break.

As of now, Mook says these makeup days will not affect students in any way, but if any more calamity days are used, students may have to start making up those days.

The Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10 in the Columbiana High School Media Center.
