A virtual repeat of Wednesday's weather is on the way Thursday, with plenty of clouds around and temperatures barely moving. The forecast also includes a chance for some lingering snow flurries during the first half of the day. After bottoming out in the lower 20s overnight, temperatures will inch upward into the mid 20s during the daylight hours.

High pressure is set to build into the region at the end of the work week. The result will be a brighter afternoon Friday with readings sneaking above the freezing mark. The sky will be mainly clear Friday night.

Valentine's Day looks noticeably milder with a good deal of sunshine. While Sunday is likely to be a cloudier day overall, a storm system will pass far enough to our south to keep precipitation confined to areas around and south of Interstate 70.

Very pleasant mid-February weather is on tap for the first couple of days of next week. The mildest day is likely to be Wednesday, although the balmy air may be accompanied by a few rain showers.
