16-year-old killed in Warren shooting identified

WARREN - A police report has revealed the identity of a juvenile killed in a shooting in Warren last week.
The report identifies the victim as 16-year-old Da'Mar McKinney of Youngstown. The report states that McKinney was found lying in the snow with an apparent gunshot wound just after 11 p.m. on the 1300 block of Mahoning Avenue NW on Wednesday, February 11.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Two 18-year-old suspects, Ashaud Johnson and Willis Smith, are charged with murder in connection with McKinney's death. The police report says additional charges could be filed later.
For now, both suspects pled not guilty to their murder charges and are due back in Warren Municipal Court on Thursday, February 19.
