Demonstrators gather in Canfield for 'National Day of Lobbying'
CANFIELD - The Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters organized a protest on Tuesday, as part of the 'National Day of Lobbying', advocating for their First Amendment rights.
The demonstrators with the group could be seen with signs outside of U.S. Congressman Michael Rulli's office in Canfield.
They are urging Rulli to show accountability as they claim he is lacking action in his position.
Demonstrators also expressed concerns over recent federal enforcement practices by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, along with the current presidential administration.
According to the Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters website, the group is a nonprofit organization focused on "[creating] positive change in our communities while upholding democracy and safeguarding human rights."
