One week, two seasons

From spring to winter, we go, all over the course of 2 days.
After another foggy start to our morning, clouds will win out this afternoon and evening, and showers will be a possibility by the end of the day.
An elevated severe weather risk is in place across portions of the Midwest, including Southwest Ohio. Locally, we can't rule out a couple of gusty showers or even some small hail as we head into the evening hours tonight.
Showers will become widespread after sunset tonight, and rain could intensify for a time before showers taper and become more scattered closer to daybreak on Friday. Winds will pick up overnight into Friday morning and could gust up to 30 mph.
An isolated shower will be around from time to time on Friday morning, but we will monitor temperatures throughout the day because there is the possibility that temperatures could crash around and after noon and could even drop to as cold as the upper 30s before sunset. That temperature crash would allow for a few flurries to develop before the end of the day, but our thinking right now is that rain will mix with some wet snowflakes before the day is through. Friday will also be windy with winds gusting up to 35 mph at times. Flurries will be around after sunset on Friday but taper off shortly after midnight.
Winds will die down by Saturday morning, and Saturday will be a quiet day and more seasonable with high temperatures in the low 40s; some additional cloud cover will be present for communities in our northern viewing area.
Temperatures will crash below freezing into Sunday morning, and light snow will arrive overnight. Light snow and flurries will be around throughout Sunday, with high temperatures maxing out in the upper 30s.
Light snow and flurries continue Sunday night and into the day on Monday, with high temperatures Monday peaking around freezing. Another colder day comes on Tuesday with high temperatures near or slightly above freezing, but temperatures return to more reasonable ranks as we head into the second half of the week.
