Boardman teen facing over a dozen child sexual abuse material charges

BOARDMAN - A 17-year-old in Boardman is facing over a dozen charges stemming from alleged child sexual abuse material.
According to a police report, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a tip from the video-sharing app TikTok in October of 2025 regarding child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
This led to a search warrant being served at a home on the 5600 block of Erie Street on November 5, 2025, where several electronic devices were seized and sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) for further examination.
From there, several felony charges were filed against 17-year-old Hayden Moore on February 11, including 19 second-degree felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and one fifth-degree felony count of pandering obscenity.
Police say Moore was brought into the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center by his mother on Tuesday, February 17.
According to Mahoning County Juvenile Court documents, Moore was 16 years old at the time of the alleged offenses and just days away from his 17th birthday.
Court documents allege that during the investigation into this matter, Moore admitted to "ongoing urges to seek out CSAM, urges to engage in child sexual abuse and urges to inflict harm upon others and himself."
The document goes on to ask that Moore be tried as an adult, stating that although he has no prior criminal record, there is insufficient time to rehabilitate him in the juvenile system.
The court ordered that the case be transferred following an accountability hearing. There is no word yet on when this hearing will take place.
