Dog found dead in Youngstown dumpster

YOUNGSTOWN - The Mahoning County Dog Warden is investigating after a dead dog was found in a dumpster in the City of Youngstown Wednesday night.
According to a post on the Mahoning County Dog Warden's Facebook page, the dog was found in a dumpster behind a gas station on Myrtle Avenue. The dumpster belongs to the apartment building at the intersection of Lois Court and Myrtle Avenue.
The dog was found trapped in a crate laying in a thick layer of feces. Humane agents were able to remove the dog from the dumpster and bring her body back to the pound.
The dog was found to be wearing a plaid collar (pictured above).
Mahoning County Dog Warden Dianne Fry tells 21 News there is no word on any suspects or charges at this time.
