The Mahoning Valley Sojourn to The Past group is hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Sunday, February 22, 2026, aiming to benefit students of the group with upcoming trip expenses.

The pasta dinner is available either dine-in or carry-out from noon to 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 201 Wick Avenue in Youngstown.

Each order is $12 for adults, or, for children under 12-years-old, each plate is $6.

This fundraiser, according to a release outlining the event, will help raise money for high school students to pay for their portion of expenses for an upcoming Sojourn to The Past journey.

The trip, which begins on March 24, takes place over eight days and takes students to Civil Rights sites throughout the southern United States.

Locations include Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, Meridian, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Little Rock and Memphis. There, students will meet icons of the Civil Rights Movement and develop an action plan to put into action when returning to Youngstown.

"This is a life-changing, leadership development, history immersion experience where students learn the lessons of the Civil Rights Movement," as stated in the release.
