Suspect in Warren standoff arraigned, held without bond

The suspect in a standoff in Warren on Friday, February 20, 2026, has been arraigned, according to court records.
Tony Walton, 49, was arraigned on two charges of felonious assault (F2) on Monday.
Charges stem from an incident on Thursday, where Walton is accused of shooting at two vehicles.
Police were attempting to carry out a warrant against Walton at a residence on Linden Avenue on Friday in connection with the incident, which is when the standoff began.
After some time, the police were able to make contact with individuals in the residence. One person came out of the house and was taken into custody. A second person came out of the home shortly after, but did not appear to be detained.
Walton entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment and is now being held in the Trumbull County Jail without bond.
He is due back in court on February 26.
