FINDLEY TWP., MERCER CO., Pa - Two teens in Mercer County were arrested after police say they damaged a pickup truck on the I-79 overpass with BBs.

According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened in Findley Township on the Clintonville/Buckley Road overpass on February 9.

Troopers with Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a pickup truck was parked on the overpass with its hazard lights on when the driver heard a boom sound and saw that his vehicle had been struck and damaged by an object.

The driver's windshield was damaged, along with other parts of the truck that were not specified in the complaint.

Troopers were able to find the suspect vehicle at the Walmart in Pine Township, where 19-year-old Trevor Malone initially told troopers he was throwing eggs onto the interstate.

However, troopers say Malone later admitted to having BBs in his truck that were no longer there. According to the complaint, the victim found a metal BB near his windshield, as well as several BB holes and dents in his truck.

The vehicle sustained nearly $5,000 worth of damage, according to the complaint.

According to court records, Malone is charged with several misdemeanors, including propulsion of missiles onto roadways, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He's due back in court on March 26.

A press release from PSP says a 17-year-old from Fredonia, Pennsylvania was arrested in connection with the incident as well.
