Ohio - Mark Zetzer, a Republican candidate for Congress in Ohio's 14th District, is withdrawing from the May 2026 Primary Election ballot.

Zetzer announced in a release on Wednesday, "I announced my candidacy in September, but I have not raised enough money to defeat...Congressman Dave Joyce, who is running for re-election."

Zetzer adds that he was also out-funded by former Trumbull County Commissioner Niki Frenchko, another candidate in the race.

Zetzwr added that he wants people to put their full attention on candidates who could become Joyce's replacement.

"So rather than split the opposition vote, I want grassroots Republicans to focus on whoever has the best chance of replacing Joyce," said Zetzer.

The Primary Elections will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
