In the wake of some overnight snow, temperatures rebounded significantly Wednesday. Daytime highs were in the middle and upper 40s...but the warming trend will be short-circuited by the passage of a cold front early Thursday. Despite plenty of afternoon sun, readings will be no higher than the middle and upper 30s Thursday.

Friday will get off to a chilly start, but a gusty southwest wind will help send temperatures to 50 or so during the second half of the day. The final day of the month will also be on the balmy side Saturday.

A period of snow or flurries will be a possibility Saturday night as yet another cold front tracks through the region. Sunday afternoon is expected to be snow-free, but with temperatures only around the freezing mark. The colder air will stick around into early next week as well. Forecast confidence is quite low at this point, but it will be possible to see a couple of bouts of precipitation Sunday night through Wednesday. Snow, rain and mixed precipitation are all on the table. After the first half or the week, a significant warming trend is a good bet.
