YOUNGSTOWN - A woman has been arrested after police say she lit a trash fire underneath a man's front door in Youngstown Thursday evening.

According to a police report, the incident happened at an apartment at the intersection of Hillman Street and Ferndale Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police spoke to the tenant, who said that he and 68-year-old Yvonne Howell had been arguing all day, which eventually escalated to Howell allegedly lighting a fire underneath his front door.

The tenant further told police that Howell was outside the door screaming at him before the fire started.

Officers saw scorch marks on the doorway, as well as burnt trash nearby, according to the report.

Howell was arrested and is facing a second-degree felony charge of aggravated arson.

Her bond has been set at $20,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 5.
