A mild start to the weekend, but it won't stay that way

After a sun-filled final Friday in February, plenty of sunshine will greet us again for the final day of the month.
Temperatures will start in the upper 30s Saturday morning and rise to around 50 degrees Saturday afternoon. Cloud cover won't build in until later in the day, so expect a mostly sunny Saturday for the most part.
Our next threat of snow comes overnight into Sunday morning. Snow will try to turn widespread for a time after midnight, but taper off around sunrise at the latest. A slushy coating to an inch of snow accumulation will be possible as temperatures won't sink into the mid 20s until after sunrise.
Sunday will turn mostly sunny, but stay colder for the first day of March with high temperatures in the low 30s. Monday will continue to feature a good deal of sunshine but remain colder with high temperatures rising slightly to the upper 30s.
Temperatures for the first week of March will rise into the mid 40s on Tuesday and into the 50s for the second half of the week. Mild air will be paired with rain chances; rain is trending likely on Tuesday, and rain chances remain in the forecast on Wednesday and Thursday.
