CLEVELAND, Ohio - Construction vehicles have begun the mass excavation at the future site of the Cleveland Browns stadium.

The entertainment district and new enclosed Huntington Bank Field at Brook Park will serve as the centerpiece of Northeast Ohio's largest economic development initiative to date.

The stadium will hold more than 67,000 fans for Cleveland Browns games.

There are also plans for the stadium to host large-scale events such as concerts, NCAA Final Fours and international soccer matches that can hold up to 75,000 fans.

An official groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 30.

Huntington Bank Field and part of its entertainment district are expected to open in 2029.
