AUSTINTOWN - Troopers suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in a crash on I-80 in Austintown early Friday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. on I-80 eastbound near the Route 11 interchange near Austintown. Troopers say the driver went to exit the interstate, but tried to merge back on at the last minute.

This resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle, striking a guardrail and driving off the road. The car sustained heavy front-end damage from the crash.

The driver was not injured, but troopers say he was arrested under suspicion of OVI.
