Employment seekers gather at Trumbull County Business Expo in Girard

GIRARD - The Trumbull County Business Expo in Girard gave people the chance to connect with Valley businesses and learn about job opportunities on Saturday.
A variety of businesses showcased their products and services, and guests were able to participate in different workshops and seminars.
The event was designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs thrive and succeed while giving employment seekers the chance to network with them.
"This is a great feeling...We have done this for two years now. It's a great event for our community and our small business owners here in Trumbull County and Mahoning County. It brings everybody together to learn what the businesses have to offer," said Melissa Misier, the owner of New Horizons Staffing and Business Solutions.
A portion of the proceeds made from general admission will benefit the Warren Family Mission, a non-profit organization that provides shelter, food, services and programs for those in need.
"We get to be able to help keep our money here and local and everybody wants to support locals," said Bobby Duncan with American Pride Pressure Wash.
Trumbull County Business Expo organizers say they hope to add more than 100 vendors in the next few years.
