Someplace Safe raises money for Trumbull domestic violence victims

TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - The 22nd annual fundraiser for Someplace Safe was hosted at the Eastwood Mall Saturday evening.
The Trumbull County nonprofit aims to help victims and survivors of domestic violence in the county. They offer advocacy, education, supportive services, emergency 24-hour crisis intervention, and shelter to aid families, according to their website.
Attendees at the fundraiser enjoyed dinner from McAlister's Deli, Sunrise Inn and Fresh to Fire Wood Fired Pizza, along with an array of sample desserts donated by local merchants, all to help those who may feel they have no where to go.
"While it seems like it is just about housing, it's not. It's about having a safe place for folks to go to get away from the violence and truly save lives," Director of Domestic Violence Services Lauren Webb said.
All donations during events like the Saturday dinner go directly back to those in need, Webb added. Someplace Safe offers help to anyone who needs it, free of charge.
