Silver Lining Cancer Fund hosts 'Denim and Diamonds' brunch

A cancer patient-focused organization committed to helping those undergoing active treatment in the Valley held a "denim and diamonds" brunch Sunday to help raise funds for their cause.
The Silver Linings Cancer Fund helps patients of all ages, with around $85,000 raised and donated to those in need in 2025.
"People that are suffering from cancer, they're in need because a lot of them, especially young women suffering from breast cancer, they go under extensive treatment and sometimes can't work, and they're running out of their funds," Norine Blasko, co-chairman of fundraising for the organization, said. "That's when we come along to help them."
The Sunday brunch hosted over 200 women, with vendors on site and 75 gift baskets donated from community members during the Mr. Anthony's event. A "style show" was put on during the event, presented by Chico's women's clothing store.
"All I can say is, it's a passion of mine," Blasko said. "A very dear friend of mine lost her daughter to cancer, and that was my mission to be here."
Blasko says she has been involved for 30 years in supporting those affected by cancer.
Those interested in donating to the Silver Linings Cancer Fund can find more information on their website.
