Zombie Dogz & Piez joins dining options at casino, racecourse in Austintown

Zombie Dogz & Piez, a vendor focused on hot dogs and pizzas, has joined Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course's lineup of dining options available at the casino.
The restaurant was originally launched as a food truck based in Dayton.
Now, it will replace the spot formerly held by Wahlburgers in the casino and racecourse facility.
Zombie Dogz & Piez offers a variety of unique combinations, according to Vice President of Marketing, Kevin Brogan.
"They're unique, they're unique because we've got a hot dog as the base, and we build up from that. So, there's a mac and cheese, there's a hot dog with pulled pork on it," said Brogan.
He continued, highlighting the pizza aspect of the restaurant.
"Pizza's a very particular item in the Valley, and so we wanted to find something that was unique for us, and we think our guests will really enjoy it," said Brogan.
The menu includes hot dogs, tacos, slushies, personal pizzas and more. An outline of that menu can be found on the Hollywood Gaming website here.
The casino is also looking to expand on the surge of food trucks in the Mahoning Valley with a proposed food truck festival being planned in the summer. During that event, Brogan says that the original Zombie Dogz & Piez truck may be in attendance.
Zombie Dogz & Piez is open in the casino from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays through Tuesdays, plus 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Hollywood Gaming can be found at 655 North Canfield Niles Road in Austintown.
