The Columbiana County Humane Society is investigating after 19 animals were found alive and several others were found deceased at a farm in Lisbon.

Columbiana County Chief Humane Officer Fabian Pike told 21 News that he was called to a farm in Lisbon by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Pike says that 19 animals were recovered from the farm alive, and include a variety of species, including dogs, cats, goats, a snake, chickens, a rooster and more.

Several deceased animals were also found on the property, but the total number is unknown at this time.

The location of the farm has not been disclosed at this time.

As of Thursday night, all 19 animals recovered are safe and being held at the Columbiana County Humane Society shelter.

Pike is continuing to conduct his preliminary investigation on the incident.

Charges are anticipated to be filed.
