During a celebration of its one-year anniversary of being open at its new location at 7386 Market Street in Boardman, Mr. Darby's Vintage & Antiques helped raise money for a Boardman Glenwood Junior High School student with leukemia.

On Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., guests in attendance at the antique store's Spring Charity Event and open house were invited to help benefit Levi, a student diagnosed with leukemia.

During the event, over 50 raffle baskets were available to win, along with a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from those sales will go directly toward Levi's family to help cover treatment costs.

Pictured above are just a portion of those raffle baskets.

Also featured were vendors offering special one-day sales and shelves stocked with Easter and St. Patrick's Day items. Guests also had their choice of food from Bread Chef, Chick-fil-A, Honey Baked Ham, Fox Den Pizza and Combine Brothers.

Co-Owners Robert and Karen Neapolitan tell 21 News that Mr. Darby's does events like this twice a year, all looking to benefit a local charity.

To date, it is estimated that the antique store has been able to donate around $75,000 to charities in need.

Robert Neapolitan says that they hoped to raise $2,000 for Levi and his family during Thursday's event and fundraiser.

Mr. Darby's is also set to host an Easter egg hunt on March 21 at 9 a.m. in the parking lot.
