LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. - Lane restrictions on Route 18 in New Castle have been announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The restrictions begin on Monday, March 16, and will be completed by late May at the following locations:

  • Route 18 from Route 108 to Moravia Street from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Route 18 from Moravia Street to Boyles Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The $13.2 million project consists of curb improvements, drainage upgrades, asphalt patching, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction.

PennDOT is urging drivers to use caution when traveling in the designated construction areas.
