Over 1,000 customers still without power across Mahoning, Shenango Valleys

As of 10:20 p.m. Saturday evening, more than 4,000 residents and businesses were without power due to the high winds that disrupted service for many throughout Friday and early Saturday morning.
According to FirstEnergy's Ohio Outages Map at the time, 78 customers were without power in Mahoning County and 627 in Trumbull County. Residents in Columbiana County without power total 1,741 according to both First Energy and AEP Ohio.
In Mercer County, 1,396 did not have power, and 509 were without power in Lawrence County, according to FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania Outages Map.
As of 8:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, numbers have decreased.
According to the FirstEnergy website, across Mahoning County and Trumbull County, 532 customers are impacted by outages. In Columbiana County, 293 people are without power.
In Pennsylvania, Mercer County is reporting 392 outages and Lawrence County is reporting 470 outages.
In total, across all five counties, 1,687 customers continue to not have power as of Sunday morning.
As of Sunday afternoon, around 3 p.m., the total number has dropped to 1,024 outages in the following areas:
- Columbiana County: 287 outages
- Mahoning County: 35 outages
- Trumbull County: 157 outages
- Mercer County: 245 outages
- Lawrence County: 300 outages

Drivers are cautioned to be aware of intersections in their area where traffic signals may not be operating — intersections become four-way stops for drivers if signals are out.
