LIBERTY - Police in Liberty Township are investigating after a house was shot up early Thursday morning.

A news release from the Liberty Township Police Department says a call came in just after 1 a.m. for a house that was struck by gunfire near the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Trumbull Avenue.

A Trumbull County dispatcher says no one was struck by the gunfire, but the house itself was hit multiple times, according to the release.

Police say one person was injured, but not by the gunfire. It is unclear how this injury happened.

There is no word yet on any suspects or motive, but police say this is believed to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
