YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- A local attorney's license has been suspended for bigamy.

According to the Ohio Supreme Court, Dennis DiMartino married his second wife in North Carolina before his divorce from his first wife was finalized in Ohio.

The Court said he falsely stated that he had never been married previously on the North Carolina marriage license application.

The Court found that DiMartino's conduct violates the state attorney discipline rule prohibiting "conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation."

DiMartino's license will be suspended for six months for bigamy and a previous one-year suspension for a prior rules violation was reinstated.

The six month suspension will run concurrently with the one-year suspension.
