Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Giant Eagle has announced that one of its cucumber suppliers out of Florida has voluntarily recalled fresh cucumbers distributed from its facility between May 6th and May 13th due to possible salmonella contamination.

Giant Eagle says they have not received any reports of illness, but they are notifying customers simply out of caution.

They say none of the cucumbers in stores now are impacted by the recall, but if you happen to have one from those dates, Giant Eagle recommends throwing it away or return it to their local store for a refund.
