State-wide manhunt ends when murder suspect is found dead in Ashtabula County

ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio - The state-wide manhunt for a suspect accused of shooting his wife is now over.

ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio - The state-wide manhunt for a suspect accused of shooting his wife is now over.

Police identified the decomposing body of Thomas Propst inside of a truck in a wooded area in Ashtabula County.

He is accused of killing his wife Paulette on August 30th.

The couple's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, was in the home at the time of the shooting but safely escaped and called 911 from a neighbor's home.

The preliminary cause of death is suicide.
