8/16-8/17/13 - Cerni Motors to hold Antique Truck Show to Benefit Second Harvest Food Bank
Cerni Motors and the Antique Truck Club of America will hold an antique truck show on August 16-17 in an effort to combat hunger in the Mahoning Valley. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and will take place at Cerni Motors' Youngstown location, 5751 Cerni Place. Cerni employees have already begun collecting non-perishable food items which can be dropped off at this location.
The show is open to the public. Cerni Motors is requesting that guests bring at least one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
Planned as a celebration of friends, family, and community, Cerni Motors hopes to fill three large barrels for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Items most needed include peanut butter, cereal, canned vegetables, tuna fish, dry pasta, canned soup, and macaroni and cheese.
The Penn-Ohio ATCA Truck Show Open House hosted by Cerni Motors is certain to be fun for the whole family. There will be food provided on Friday by Coney Island Hot Dogs of Austintown.
In addition to delicious food, Cerni will also play host to several area vendors, hold contests for the loudest "jake brake" and sound the air horns of some of their biggest and baddest trucks. Dyno testing will be provided throughout the event and flame thrower stacks will begin at dark on Friday evening.
This will be the first truck show of its kind hosted by Cerni and they are excited to be able to give back to such a wonderful community.
