Brookfield store robbed at knife point

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Brookfield Police are searching for a man who robbed a discount store at knife point Thursday afternoon.
A caller informed police just after 2:00 that a robbery was occurring inside the Dollar General on Warren Sharon Road.
Police say the suspect brandished a large knife and demanded that the store manager turn over money from the register.
The suspect grabbed the cash and ran to a nearby parking lot, then drove off in an eastbound direction on Warren Sharon Road in a light blue or grey colored vehicle.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket with a green cloth covering his face.
He is described as a dark skinned male, possibly Hispanic, approximately 5' 8" and 170 to 190 pounds.
Surveillance tapes from a nearby gas station are being reviewed for more clues.
Police say there were customers in the store at the time, but no one was injured during the incident.
