YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A woman is behind bars after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a childrens fork and attempting to choke him with a phone cord while he was driving. Her child was in the back seat of the car.
Youngstown police arrested Aaliyah Clark, 21, Thursday afternoon on Glenwood Street.
Clark told police that her and the victim were breaking up, and he was driving recklessly because he was upset. Clark said the victim then spit on her while they were arguing. Reports say the victim stated “saliva did fly out of his mouth and hit Clark” while they were arguing. He said he apologized.
Clark told police she grabbed a glass perfume bottle and began hitting the victim in the head with it. Officers said they saw three bumps on the top of the victim's head where he was hit.
She also told police she grabbed her phone charger and attempted to coke the victim with it. She said the victim bit her once in the back and once on her left arm. Police say they did see bike marks on Clark.
The victim told police Clark jumped on top of him while he was driving and attempted to choke him with the cord. He also claims she placed her hands around his neck.
He said he could barely control his vehicle and almost hit several poles.
The victim said Clark tried to step on the gas pedal while she was on top of him, trying to make him crash.
He also told police that Clark picked up a childrens fork and stabbed him in the right shoulder.
Officers say they saw a small puncture wound on the victims right shoulder and a cut on his cheek they say is consistent with a fingernail scratch.
Both Clark and the victim declined medical treatment.
Officers released the victim at the scene, but said he could possibly face charges for assault or child endangering if evidence proves he spit on Clark or was driving recklessly with Clark's child in the car.
Clark faces charges of felonious assault and child endangering.
