GIRARD, Ohio - After being in business for 75 years, Santisi's IGA in Girard has announced they will be closing.

The grocery store on North State Street released a statement Friday morning saying the marketplace will be closing later this fall. The Santisi family says the level of sales is not sufficient to cover the cost of operating the store.

The statement says all employees will be losing their jobs, along with the grandson of the store founder, Anthony Santisi, who is store manager.

An inventory liquidation sale will be scheduled.

The store and the Santisi family says they thank their past and present employees, their vendor associates and their customers for their support.
