ALLIANCE, Ohio - A going-out-of-business sale begins today at a department store in Alliance as well as around 250 other stores around the country operated by their bankrupt parent company Bon-Ton.
The liquidation sale is expected to take ten to 12 weeks at the Elder-Beerman store in the Carnation CityMall on West State Street.
The company says gift cards will be honored for ten more days but the customer loyalty program has been terminated.
In addition, the store will accept in-store and online returns for a ten-day period beginning today. After that time all sales will be considered final.
Bon-ton announced on Tuesday that it is winding down operations of its Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers stores across the United States.
