Possible tornado damage reported in Geauga County

Weather officials are looking into stormcloud rotation and damage that may mean a tornado touched down in Geauga County.
A lieutenant with the Geauga County Sheriff's Office 911 Center said that there were sightings of funnel clouds over Middlefield and Burton villages.
The National Weather Service of Cleveland tweeted that there is possible tornado damage in Middlefield.

Lieutenant Brandon Reed said that they got very lucky and it appears that they did not sustain any significant damage.
Reed explained that there has been very light damage reported — some poles and trees down and light roofing materials near the Middlefield village and township line along State Route 87 Kinsman Road.
A tornado warning was in place for portions of Trumbull County Thursday afternoon. Several trees were reported down near West Farmington following the storm.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the storm.
