TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - Convicted murderer Claudia Hoerig has filed a motion of discharge and acquittal of her criminal case.
Hoerig filed it Friday with the Trumbull County 11th District Court of Appeals.
In her handwritten filing, she makes claims including that she was misinformed by her public defenders about the content of her case, and that her trial counsels deliberately failed to prepare her for trial and to investigate the case because they were threatened by different officials and the media, among other things.
Back in February, Hoerig was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole in 25 years for murdering her husband at the time, Air Force Major Karl Hoerig, back in March of 2007 at their Newton Falls home.
