Hearing delayed on future of the Wagon Wheel Motel
A court hearing to decide if a Boardman motel can reopen has been delayed.

BOARDMAN, Ohio - A court hearing to decide if a Boardman motel can reopen has been delayed.
Monday's scheduled hearing in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court has been pushed back because a lawyer representing owners of the Wagon Wheel Motel need more time to prepare.
The Market Street motel has been shut down since fire department officials petitioned to have the business temporarily closed because of safety concerns. The Wagon Wheel Motel was also deemed a nuisance by Boardman Township Trustees over safety issues.
The motel was vacated because of roof damage, leaking ceilings, and exposed electrical components.
While the temporary restraining order is in place, only repair personnel are permitted on the property, according to the court order.
According to court documents, the temporary restraining order will remain in effect until August 27 unless modified by the court. The documents also indicate a request that preliminary injunction hearing is scheduled in the next two weeks.
