YOUNGSTOWN - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted and members of the governor's cabinet will hold a regional cabinet meeting and attend several events in the Mahoning Valley on Wednesday.

DeWine and Husted will hold a roundtable with local health commissioners in the morning, followed by the cabinet meeting at the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center.

In the afternoon, Governor DeWine will go to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman to sign House Bill 12, which will create the Ohio Children's Behavioral Health Prevention Network Stakeholder Group.

The law will create and coordinate a comprehensive learning network to support young children in their social, emotional, and behavioral development and to seek to reduce and prevent behavioral health disparities among young children.

The Department of Aging will make an announcement at the Girard Multi-Generational Center regarding the expansion of the "Producing Healthy Seniors" program and award grants to three Mahoning Valley communities.

The Development Services Agency and Department of Commerce will host tourism industry representatives and destination marketers at the Grand Resort Ballroom in Warren to hear their ideas for the next tourism marketing season, and how the state can help them achieve their business and industry goals.

The Adjutant General's office will unveil two new range complexes at Camp James A. Garfield (formerly Camp Ravenna) and tour the post.

The Bureau of Workers Compensation will present a dividend check to General Extrusions.

DAS, the Development Services Agency and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, will host a free business-building event at the Kent State University Trumbull Campus for all minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, including information on MBE, EDGE, and VBE program certifications.

The Department of Commerce will take part in a Junior Achievement course at Girard Junior High School that helps students learn about personal finance and the importance of identifying education and career goals- which ties back to the agency's Division of Financial Institution's Financial Literacy Grant on preparing youth for a successful financial future.

The Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections will hold a forum at YSU with local stakeholders and community partners to discuss best practices. Topics will center on how to continue working collectively to strengthen partnerships in the areas of offender family engagement and reentry.

The Department of Transportation will provide the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments with a project overview and update on the $10.5 million U.S. DOT BUILD grant. The grant will be used to make mobility improvements to downtown Youngstown and to deploy a self-driving circulator

shuttle that would connect Youngstown State University, St. Elizabeth hospital, a business district, and an entertainment district. Also, the department will announce the 2020 Ohio Smart Mobility Summit to held be on July 16 and 17 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services will recognize leadership with City Machine Technologies for their efforts in hiring and retaining veterans by presenting them with OhioMeansJobs Challenge Coins during a ceremony and tour.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities will host a hiring event for OOD participants at the Trumbull County Ohio Means Jobs office on North Park Avenue in Warren.

The Department of Developmental Disabilities and Turning Point Residential, Inc. representatives will tour Creams and Crumbles Bakery in Boardman and speak with bakery employees.

The Ohio Department of Medicaid with Cadence Care Network (formerly Homes for Kids) will hold a panel discussion about behavioral health (BH) and address the BH needs of multi-system youth. Cadence Care Network is a behavioral health and foster care provider in Trumbull County that works with local agencies, including the Children's Services Agency, to collaborate with the local family and children first council and others.

Mental Health and Addiction Services will tour the Campbell City Schools campus, which focuses on regional workforce development alongside social and emotional wellness for children and families.

The Department of Public Safety will host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Highway Patrol Warren District Headquarters and Patrol Post on Route 422 in Southington.

The Development Services Agency will tour Howland Machine Corporation in Niles to discuss state resources for growth.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture will visit Miller Livestock Company in Kinsman to learn more about the operation's sustainability practices and mentoring program.

The Office of Budget Management will stop by the Columbiana County JFS Government Services Building in Lisbon to discuss ideas on how to better coordinate state and local resources.

The Department of Veterans Services and representatives from the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) will visit Youngstown State University to meet with student veterans at the school's Veterans Resource Center, the only such stand-alone facility in the state.

The Development Services Agency will tour Altronic in Girard to discuss state resources for growth.

The Environmental Protection Agency will host a roundtable at the West Farmington Senior Center to discuss infrastructure needs in Ohio and how it can spur economic development.
