BOARDMAN, Ohio -

Giant Eagle says it has sanitized its Boardman store located on Boardman Canfield Road for a second time after learning a person who tested positive for COVID-19 was in the store.

Store number 4018 appears on Giant Eagle’s COVID-19 web page as being sanitized and opened as of Monday, April 13.

Giant eagle lists stores that have recently been sanitized when someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 enters one of its stores.

The only information provided about the individual is that the person last entered the store on March 31, and tested positive for the virus on April 13.

Giant Eagle says the store has been sanitized and is open for business.

The retail grocery chain says the affected stores are removed from the list five days after they have been sanitized and reopened.

This is now the second time the Boardman location has been sanitized after exposure to COVID-19.
