Second suspect captured for Weathersfield vandalism, arson

WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - Weathersfield Township Police say the second of two men suspected of causing thousands of dollars in damage to a now-closed power plant has been arrested.
Police say that 42-year-old Tommy Murphy of Youngstown has been taken into custody for the April 22 break-in and vandalism at the Gen-On Power Plant, 1047 Belmont Avenue.
A second suspect, Joshua Davis, 20, of McDonald was arrested last week.
Police said windows were broken, offices and other areas of the building were ransacked, and a pump house was set on fire.
Although the plant has been closed since 2012, police were able to view videos from some security cameras that were still working.
The warrants are for breaking and entering, vandalism and arson.
Police say more charges could be filed.
