This Saturday, October 10th, from 9-1 p.m., the Arab American Community Center will have a food giveaway in cooperation with Second Harvest. It will be held behind Liberty High school's old gymnasium next to the Liberty Library off of Churchill.

Mike Iberis, executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank,  said they expect to feed up to 500 families this year with the food giveaway. Most of the food that will be given away is fresh produce.  The list of food that will be given away is:

- Chicken
- Frozen fillets
- Refrigerated cheese
- An assortment of fruits such as grapes, oranges, and apples  
- Potatoes
- Onions and much more

You can get the food by pulling up with your vehicle, and the Ohio National Guard will place the food in your trunk. It will be a no-contact event, and the Ohio National Guard will all have masks on and will be socially distant to help with the spread of COVID-19.
