Bond set at $500,000 for East Liverpool assault suspect

Warrants were issued for the arrest of the East Liverpool man that the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office described as armed and dangerous.

LISBON, Ohio - A suspect who had been on the run since August is being held on $500,000 bond.

The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday that 30-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez Jr. has been arrested.

Warrants were issued for the arrest of the East Liverpool man that the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office described as armed and dangerous.

According to court records, Gonzalez is charged with felonious assault, failure to comply with a police order, failure to stop after an accident, and improper backing. The charges stem from an incident on August 8.

Gonzalez Jr. was arraigned in county municipal court on Thursday. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 22.
