NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A New Castle man is in the Lawrence County Jail after police arrested him in connection with robberies at two businesses in the city.

Twenty-four-year-old Noah Hazy was arrested late Tuesday outside the Oak Leaf Gardens apartments.

Police say Hazy was wanted for Tuesday afternoon’s robbery at the Market 24 convenience store on East Washington Street.  The suspect got away before the police arrived.

The second robbery occurred at 6:32 pm at the Cascade Express located on Cascade Street. Police say the same suspect handed the clerk a note saying that he had a gun and demanded money.

When Hazy was interrogated following his arrest, detectives say he admitted to committing both robberies.

Hazy is being charged with robbery, theft, and receiving stolen property
