COLUMBUS, Ohio - An Ohio State representative has filed 12 articles of impeachment against Republican Governor Mike DeWine.

Republican Representative John Becker of Union Township in Clermont County made the announcement Monday, along with three of his colleagues.

Becker writes that the 12 articles outline the governor's abuse of power and several violations of the Ohio and United Constitutions, as well as several sections of the Ohio Revised Code.

"Governor DeWine's mismanagement, malfeasance, misfeasance, abuse of power and other crimes include, but are not limited to, meddling in the conduct of a presidential primary election, arbitrarily closing and placing curfews on certain businesses, while allowing other businesses to remain open. He weaponized the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation to bully and harass businesses of dubious 'value,' making Ohio a hostile work environment."
