The West Branch Local Schools will resume classes Wednesday after the district received a threat that forced it to close Tuesday.

School officials revealed that the district had received a threat to the safety of its students and staff.

According to a news release, Goshen police, along with the Columbiana County Sheriff, determined the threat not to be credible.

They will proceed to file the appropriate charges.

“We thank Goshen Police and the Columbiana County Sheriff for their quick response to ensure the safety of our students and staff,” says Micki Egli, acting Superintendent at West Branch Local School District. “We look forward to seeing our students again in the morning!”

Coaches were able to practice and teams can also participate in games Tuesday.
